. rained last night .

. countryside .

. so yesterday, after my photo shoot in grinnell, i was feeling very inspired . just wait and see the couple i shot ! having a good shoot and drinking a little iced coffee (which i have to stop, btw!) i could have shot the rest of the day, so i kinda did . on my way home i stopped several times to take photos of just about anything that caught my eye . this first photo is not a 'cool' shot or anything, but i love the name of this road...always have so i decided to record it . i think our next dog is going to be named orval yoder ! and it wouldn't be near as cool of a name if it was called orval yoder road, orval yoder turnpike just has a ring to it ! don't you think ? anyway... (yes i had coffee again today! which i definitely am going to stop)

. and this, this old house, i love it . steve and i have driven by it for years and i always tell him it's ours . it has our initials on it...we have to live here someday !

. coming and going .

. i feel like i've done a lot of it lately . it's great to be home again though . just got back from chicago, there i went to an amazing 'life workshop' by justin and mary . it was truly inspiring and i left with a definite vision of who i want to be as a photographer, and a plan (or working on that plan) to make it happen . this workshop was everything i had hoped it would be .

. when i first found that it was going to be in the chicago area i knew i'd love to take along little brookie . i used to babysit for her, back in the early 90's, i did her bangs, played eye spy, and made mac and cheese every. time. (i know i've mentioned this before on here) . things have so changed over the years . now we're peers and we're in the same profession and yet so much has not changed, we love spending time together and we still eat mac and cheese together, although now i don't do her bangs and we rarely play eye spy .

. monday we headed downtown for the workshop early and shot a few photos by a cool old warehouse . in the windows we could see shelves and shelves of bankers boxes (i had flashbacks of working at the county attorney's office and having to go to our warehouse and file...ug, have i mentioned i love doing photography!) . anyway, it was very chilly and we really weren't dressed for it so we took a few fun shots, warmed up, took a few more and called it good . here's a few of the every styling brooke .

. as i said the workshop was fabulous, so fabulous i took 8 pages of notes and no photos...except this one . of a gal i met there, hilary, whose hair i love ! i wanted a photo of it for someday when i decide to go short ! thanks again hilary, you're beautiful !

. a few changes .

. i'm in the process of making a few changes with my photography business . this blog will be strictly for my . sarahnebelphotography . shoots . i've started a personal blog . photoseyelove . for all my personal stuff . this will complicate things a bit at first for you all to add another bookmark and to check two blogs and so forth, but i feel it's what i need to do for my business at this time . also feel free to become a fan of . sarahnebelphotography . on facebook if you're on there .

. i'm feeling refreshed and excited to move forward with growing my business . i'm hoping 2010 will be a year of blossoming for . sarahnebelphotography . and me personally .

. thank you all for all you've done to encourage me to be all i can be . i couldn't have done it without you all !

. a little fun .

. it's always fun to see something out of the ordinary and be able to capture it with my camera . today i set my laptop down and noticed my reflection in the desktop background of steve's head . i decided to try to get a photo of it and these are what i came up with . it wasn't easy with my 50mm, very little area to work with and not being able to look through the view finder . i think i took over 30 photos just to get these .

. the holidays that is . it's time to start thinking about those family photos now .
