. coming and going .

. i feel like i've done a lot of it lately . it's great to be home again though . just got back from chicago, there i went to an amazing 'life workshop' by justin and mary . it was truly inspiring and i left with a definite vision of who i want to be as a photographer, and a plan (or working on that plan) to make it happen . this workshop was everything i had hoped it would be .

. when i first found that it was going to be in the chicago area i knew i'd love to take along little brookie . i used to babysit for her, back in the early 90's, i did her bangs, played eye spy, and made mac and cheese every. time. (i know i've mentioned this before on here) . things have so changed over the years . now we're peers and we're in the same profession and yet so much has not changed, we love spending time together and we still eat mac and cheese together, although now i don't do her bangs and we rarely play eye spy .

. monday we headed downtown for the workshop early and shot a few photos by a cool old warehouse . in the windows we could see shelves and shelves of bankers boxes (i had flashbacks of working at the county attorney's office and having to go to our warehouse and file...ug, have i mentioned i love doing photography!) . anyway, it was very chilly and we really weren't dressed for it so we took a few fun shots, warmed up, took a few more and called it good . here's a few of the every styling brooke .

. as i said the workshop was fabulous, so fabulous i took 8 pages of notes and no photos...except this one . of a gal i met there, hilary, whose hair i love ! i wanted a photo of it for someday when i decide to go short ! thanks again hilary, you're beautiful !
