. night time harvest .
. it's been a busy week around here . i've been busy with photo shoots and editing and all that goes with that, keeping up around home and helping a little with harvest . steve's worked hard in his windows of dry ground to get the crops out and we're getting closer all the time . he tried to beat the rain wednesday night and was just a few acres shy of getting the beans in . he would have gotten them all in with time to spare had he not broke down earlier in the day, but that's the way it goes .
. finishing up one field .
. loading the head on the head cart to move to another field . i haven't driven any machinery this season (with the exception of the combine in the driveway) and my job was to move the head on the cart on the back of the truck to another field . i was a little nervous at night thinking i may take out a few mailboxes and not know it but i made it without incident (i think) .
. getting ready to start the next field .
. unloading on the trucks .
. the rain has been a welcome break .

cool post!
Did you use a tripod for these?
Thanks Abi! I did not use a tripod. In the one with the head I did set my camera on the truck and left the shutter open longer, but that only worked with things that weren't moving.
We're praying for the farmers. It's the latest harvest since the second year we farmed. That one was AWFUL, and I have slides to prove it. Stay safe. And you must keep thinking positive -- even with the breakdowns!
